• Bio

Juniper Rose Anderson is a queer, Navajo and Ho-Chunk artist from Madison, Wisconsin. Her parents are both artists, which inspired her to become an artist. Anderson has been paiting and drawing since she was able to hold a paintbrush. At seven years old, she was selling pages of her coloring books for quarters at markets like the Southwestern Association of American Indian Arts (SWAIA), Heard Museum, and Eiteljorg markets. Today, Anderson has expanded her painting mediums to include watercolor, acrylic, and gouache. She continues to evolve her skills and mediums with digital art and through portraits and landscapes focusing on political and social messages, including self-love acceptance.

She is currently studying painting in the Studio Arts department at the Institute of American Indain Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Anderson is expected to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in May 2025, after which she hopes to become an art teacher for youth.
